The abandonment of the construction site already started and it’s regulation in the roman urban law
Abstract
This work attempts to deepen into the serious urban problem of the initiated construction site and not definitely finished, analysing the corrective measures established by the lower imperial legislator and its social repercussion in the IVth and Vth Century. This study has been organized in various different parts, depending on the cause that triggers the abandonment of the construction site; basically, lack of financing and ceasing of the maximum urban authority with competence in the matter, in their task or term of office. For each of these cases a different measure is established, sometimes of great transcendence and present relevance, as, for example, the re-utilization of noble materials coming from demolitions in the construction site that needs to be finished.
