Los abogados en el chile indiano a la luz de las relaciones de méritos y servicios
Abstract
This paper looks at some aspects of the lawyers' forensic activity in the Kingdom of Chile during the Colonial period. In particular, it explores the ethics, qualities and virtues of these lawyers, according to the societal canons of that time. As a main source, the paper uses the "relationships of merits and services," and some books of the same period by South American and Spanish authors who addressed legal issues.
