Seizure laws for interim trade issued from 1837 to 1843, enabled goods to circulate freely in national territory, these
laws included confiscation trials which assessed the legality of entry documents, transport and trade of the goods; these proceedings were thoroughly made due to the number of parties involved, as well as the procedure to be followed and the penalties established for those who did not comply with the regulation. It was intended that the Tax Authorities received income from commercial activity.
