Abstract

The second half of the 14th century represented the formation period of the
“Generalitat” of Catalonia, with an organizational structure experiencing different changes as it was the replacement of its collegiate governing body by a single administrator. The identification of the manuscript collocally known as “Llibre de Vuit Senyals” has provided new information about the origins of this outstanding policy that would last until 1375.
