Abstract

The edictum de convicio, granted by the praetor, protected the cives from being insulted in public by a group of people. For a deeper analysis of the punishable conduct, we deal with the study of the terms convicium and adversus bonos mores contained in the edictal clause, as well as the possible passive subjects.
